CTData Director Speaks on Turning Data into Action On February 12th, CTData Executive Director Michelle Riordan-Nold spoke at Eastern's University Hour, highlighting CTData's
mission and impact. She demonstrated how diverse stakeholders from multiple sectors—including businesses, nonprofits, state agencies, and the public—can leverage data to advance equity across the state. Riordan-Nold also outlined CTData's evolution, from launching the Data Academy program to developing Data Strategic Planning, all with a focus on enhancing data literacy throughout Connecticut.
Analysis of Connecticut's Proposed Transportation Priorities Mobility shapes economic opportunity, yet
transportation remains the second-largest household expense in the U.S. With a new directive prioritizing funding for communities with higher marriage and birth rates, some areas may be left behind. Our analysis—drawing inspiration from researchers Yonah Freemark and Lindiwe Rennert at The Urban Institute, who examined this issue on a national level—explores the potential impact on Connecticut’s long-term transit needs.
