Exploring the Internal Revenue Service Statistics Tables for Connecticut 2019-2020

The IRS makes data available for returns filed each year. This data can be found at SOI Tax Stats (Statistics of Income). With all the changes in the last few years in tax policy and policies and changes during the pandemic, we wondered what we could learn about income tax returns by examining different standards and itemized deductions for Connecticut. The analysis in this blog post looks at the change between 2019 and 2020. Read our analysis here.

Equity in Data Community of Practice: UNconference

June 18, 2024, 11:30 am-1:00 pm: Join us to talk about the topics YOU are most interested in. 

This month we are bringing back our very popular UNconference format. An unconference is a direct response to the traditional conference structure: Instead of having an expert who shares their knowledge in front of an audience, an unconference is based on the interests of the community, encouraging curiosity and learning through conversation. In this informal gathering, attendees talk, brainstorm, and share resources on a community-chosen topic.
